Zhukovskii «Kharkov Aviation Institute», Ukraine In 20 healthy volunteers aged from 19 to 30 years (7 men and 13 women) the patterns of temporary fluctuations of total power of spectral indicators (TP, VLF, LF and HF) heart rate variability (HRV) using a one-minute buffer during spontaneous breathing were studied. It was found that temporary fluctuations of total power of HRV spectral indi- ces in healthy volunteers are slow waves with frequency of 0,05–0,07Hz. These fluctuations qualitatively and quantitatively are similar to each other. Their nature allows to associate them primarily with meta- bolic reactions of the organism. Key words: heart rate variability, fast Fourier transform, human physiology.
