P.O. Garkaviy Heart rate variability peculiarities in patients with arterial hypertension and hypotensive orthostatic reaction obtaining amlodipin, metoprolol or enalapril maleat treatment The investigation has been held on 265 patients with arterial hypertension and normotensive orthostatic reaction or hypotensive orthostatic reaction. 98 patients were obtaining Ca an- tagonists (amlodipin), 85 ? betablockers (metiprolol), 82 ? ACE inhibitor (enalapril maleat). Calcium antagonists, beta-blockers and ACE inhibitors have differentl effects on the heart rate variability (HRV) parameters at rest and in tilt tests. In line with the antihyperten- sive therapy peculiarities found by us, and according to HRV changes ? ACE inhibitors are more preferable, and Ca antagonists are next to them. Beta-blockers therapy, seems better be prescribed in combination with other antihypertensive drugs.
